Cloning a personality plate for Teradyne Spectrum test bench
Context / Problem
The Prescriber has a custom-made personality plate for a Teradyne in-situ card tester, allowing him to make his critical electronic equipment more reliable. This personality plate connects the bench to the specific pins of the devices to be tested.
This plate has the following characteristics:
- 2 electronic cards pin holder and alignment card
- Non-standard card format: 758mm*117mm*6.5mm
- The cards feature 1214 specific double contact test points. Through use, the holes have become worn and deformed, and the tips have broken.
Neos Solution
- Identical remanufacturing of the 2 cards including the 2 PCBs damaged by use.
- Remanufacturing of the mechanical part (guide pin).
- Qualification of the prototype at the prescriber.
The cloning of the personality plate made it possible to maintain in operational conditions the means of testing the prescriber's critical equipment.
The complete project extends over a period of 4 months from the project initiation meeting (input data), through the creation of the prototype then its in-situ qualification.
